Fes to Marrakech 3-Day Sahara Desert Tour

Your adventure begins in the morning with a departure from Fes, heading south toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will travel through lush cedar forests, home to native Barbary macaque monkeys, before stopping for lunch in the town of Midelt. The landscape then transforms as we descend into the magnificent Ziz Valley, a vast oasis of palm groves and fortified adobe villages.

Arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you will prepare for the highlight of the day. You will embark on an iconic camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, pausing to watch a spectacular sunset over the desert expanse. Your destination is a luxury desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars, accompanied by the rhythms of local Berber music. Spend the night in your comfortable tent, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Sahara.

Rise early to witness the magical sunrise over the silent dunes. After breakfast, an adventurous 4×4 tour takes you deeper into the desert landscape. You will visit the village of Khamlia to experience the powerful Gnawa music, share mint tea with a local nomadic family, and travel to the historic market town of Rissani.

Afterward, the journey continues to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where you can take a leisurely stroll between its towering canyon walls. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations and the winding road that cuts through them. Enjoy dinner and settle in for the night at a local hotel, reflecting on a day rich with discovery.

Finally, after breakfast, our final day of travel begins with a journey through the Valley of Roses, renowned for its fragrant plantations, and the Skoura oasis, a lush area dotted with ancient kasbahs. The route then ascends into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass—Morocco’s highest road, which offers breathtaking panoramic views.
We will pause for lunch in a traditional Berber village along the way.
