13 Days Morocco Tour From Tangier

Your Moroccan adventure begins! Upon arrival at Tangier’s airport or port, our team will greet you and escort you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may begin exploring the city’s coastal charm this afternoon.

Explore the highlights of Tangier, including the Kasbah Museum, the historic medina, Cape Spartel, and the mythical Caves of Hercules. After lunch, we travel towards the mountains, stopping in Tetouan to admire its UNESCO World Heritage medina. The journey continues through the scenic Rif Mountains to our destination: the iconic blue city of Chefchaouen.

Today we journey back in time, starting with a visit to the sprawling Roman ruins of Volubilis, a magnificently preserved UNESCO site. From there, we proceed to the imperial city of Meknes for a brief tour and lunch before continuing to Fez, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco.

Immerse yourself in the world’s most vibrant living medina with a local guide. Explore the architectural marvels of the Al-Attarine Madrasa and the Bou Inania Madrasa, see the famous Nejarine Fountain, and witness artisans at work in the traditional leather tanneries and craft quarters. A visit to the historic Jewish Quarter highlights centuries of co-existence.

Day 5 marks the highlight of your Tangier to Sahara desert tour, as you reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a camel trek and overnight desert camp. Our route takes us through Ifrane, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to friendly Barbary macaque monkeys. After a lunch stop in Midelt, the landscape transforms as we drive through the Ziz Valley’s vast palm groves, arriving at the edge of the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes.

Wake to a magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will explore the Sahara region further. Today’s expedition takes you to visit a nomadic Berber family, the lush oases of Merzouga, and the village of Khamlia, which is renowned for its captivating Gnaoua music. After a day of discovery, you will check into a hotel in Merzouga village, where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the silent dunes. After breakfast, we travel to the dramatic Todra Gorge, where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Along the way, we’ll pass through Rissani, with opportunities to see the local souk and a fossil workshop, before ending our day in the beautiful Dades Valley.

Our journey continues along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura oasis. We’ll visit Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” before arriving at the magnificent Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site made famous by films and shows like Game of Thrones. Finally, we cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass to reach Marrakech.

Enjoy a refreshing coastal escape with a day trip to Essaouira. This charming, windswept port city is a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its historic ramparts, bronze cannons, vibrant art scene, and bustling fishing harbor. Wander through the relaxed medina, browse the art galleries, and enjoy the fresh Atlantic air. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech for your overnight stay.

Plunge into the vibrant energy of Marrakech with a full-day guided tour. You’ll explore the city’s most famous landmarks, including the bustling Djemaa el-Fna square with its storytellers and snake charmers, the intricate Saadian Tombs, and the magnificent Bahia and El Badi Palaces.
