Morocco 8-Day Tour from Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Your 8-day journey through the Imperial Cities begins upon your arrival. We will greet you at the airport or your accommodation and transfer you to your hotel. Once settled, we’ll take a tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub. You will marvel at the breathtaking Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece with the tallest minaret in Africa, set against the Atlantic coast. We’ll also explore the vibrant Corniche seaside promenade and the elegant Mohammed V Square.

After breakfast, our journey continues to Rabat, the political capital of Morocco. Here, you will explore the historic Oudaya Kasbah, the iconic Hassan Tower, and the UNESCO-listed Old Medina. Our trip then takes us inland to uncover layers of history. First, we’ll explore Volubilis, the stunning and well-preserved Roman ruins that mark the southern reach of the empire. Afterwards, we drive to the Imperial City of Meknes, founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Following lunch, we’ll discover the city’s grand monuments, including the monumental Bab Mansour gate, the vast Heri es-Souani royal stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the late afternoon, we complete our drive to Fez for the night.

Today is dedicated to discovering Fez, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. With an expert local guide, you will dive into the Fez el-Bali, the world’s largest living medieval medina. Your tour will include a visit to the famous gates of the Royal Palace, the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest in the world), and the tomb of the city’s founder, Moulay Idriss II. After a traditional Moroccan lunch in the medina, you’ll explore the exquisite Nejjarine Fountain and the Batha Museum. To end the day, we will drive to a panoramic viewpoint for stunning photos over the ancient city before returning to your riad or hotel.

We travel south today, ascending into the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and pristine forests. Continuing through the vast cedar forests, we may spot the native Barbary apes before arriving in Azrou, a town renowned for its traditional Berber woodworking and carpets. After lunch in Azrou, our scenic drive continues through the mountains to the city of Beni Mellal, where we will spend the night.

After breakfast, we journey towards one of Morocco’s natural treasures: the Ouzoud Waterfalls. You’ll witness the spectacular, multi-level cascades plunging into the canyon below. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the sound of the falls during a memorable lunch at a restaurant with a panoramic view. In the afternoon, we head towards the vibrant “Red City” of Marrakech. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel and have the evening to anticipate the adventures to come.

Immerse yourself in the magic of Marrakech. Your guided tour begins with a visit to the city’s iconic landmarks, including the silhouette of the Koutoubia Mosque, the serene Menara Gardens, and the exotic blues of the Majorelle Garden. We will then explore the opulent Bahia Palace and the Dar Si Said Palace, home to the Museum of Moroccan Arts. After an optional lunch in the medina, you will navigate the labyrinthine and colorful souks, a sensory feast of spices, crafts, and textiles. As sunset approaches, we’ll find a terrace overlooking the legendary Jamaa El Fna square to watch its daily transformation into an open-air theater of storytellers, musicians, and food stalls.

Today we embark on a scenic journey to the Atlantic coast. We’ll drive through the argan tree forests—where you might spot the famous tree-climbing goats—to the charming coastal town of Essaouira. Known for its whitewashed medina, blue fishing boats, and historic ramparts, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers a relaxed, artistic atmosphere. Enjoy free time to explore the medina, walk along the windswept beach, or savor a fresh seafood lunch by the harbor. In the afternoon, we begin our drive north along the coast, returning to Casablanca for our final night.
